Hearn Field

Hearn Field is a beautiful, 10 acre piece of land on the banks of the River Teign, named after local farmer and landowner Percy Hearn who bequeathed it upon his death in 1983 “for the enjoyment of the Parishoners of Haccombe-with-Combe”.

The field is freely accessible all year round, and is very popular with families and dog walkers. It enjoys a picturesque sports pavilion, which has a large reception area ideal for parties or meetings in addition to a small kitchen area, changing rooms and showers sufficient for two sports teams for cricket or football matches.

A bonfire and firework party are held annually over the spectacular backdrop of the River Teign, and a family funday held every summer, in addition to various one off events including music festivals, outdoor theatre productions, and outdoor film screenings.

The management of the field comes under the auspices of Parish Council, and the maintenance and upkeep of the field is managed by a group of volunteers. If you would be interested in joining, or helping out at any particular event, please feel free to contact Liz Deane at .

The pavilion is available for hire by anyone in the Parish, details of rates and terms and conditions can be found below.
